The 7000 Series of filtered half-masks is an economical solution that gives excellent protection to airways. Protection against particulates and toxic gases.
The 7000 Series half-masks are certified to EN140:1998 and provides the following Nominal Protection Factors and Assigned Protection Factors :
* For gases and vapours :
NPF = 50 - APF = 10
* For particulates with P3 :
NPF = 50 - APF = 20
* For gases with P3 :
NPF = 50 - APF = 10
* For Class 1 gas filters :
10 or up to 1000 (whichever is the lowest)
* For Class 2 gas filters : 10 or up to 5000 (whichever is the lowest) 
 
The 7000 Series half-mask must only be used when the toxic concentration allows it.
The limit is determined by a theoretical calculation taking into account the air leakage around the face and the filter efficiency.
The 7000 Series half-mask, depending on the filter used, can be used for concentrations between 12 x TLV and 50 x TLV.
(TLV= TWA for 8 hours of work or STEL for 15 minutes of work)

The 7000 Series half-mask must only be used with 7000 Series Sperian filters (conforming to EN 141 or EN 143 standards), chosen according to the type of contaminants (SPERIAN is available to help you define the proper type of filter needed).
They can only be used in suffficiently ventilated premises where the atmosphere contains a minimum oxygen volume of 17 %.
