ZEPHYR PAPR with hoods or visors are devices conforming to the EN12941 standard.
The protection category and the type of application for these headpieces depend on the respiratory equipment to which they are connected.
A motor draws in ambient air through filters and blows it into the head piece through a corrugated tube.
Powered ventilation reduces the breathing effort and then contributes to reduce fatigue of the user.
The overpressure generated in the hood by the powered ventilation guarantees a higher protection factor.
The motorised fan is attached to the waist with an adjustable fire-proof snap-on belt buckle.
The motorised fan is run by a rechargeable battery.

They can only be used in sufficiently ventilated premises where the atmosphere contains a minimum oxygen volume of 17 %.
