ZEPHYR PAPR with Sperian masks are powered air purifying respirators conforming to the EN12942 : 1998 standard.
A motor draws ambient air through filters and blows it into the head piece (PANO MASK WITH RD40 CONNECTOR) through a corrugated tube.
Powered ventilation reduces the breathing effort and then contributes to reduce fatigue of the user.
The overpressure generated in the Sperian mask by the powered ventilation guarantees a higher Nominal Protection Factor.
NPF = 2000 - APF = 40.

The motorised fan is attached to the waist with an adjustable fire-proof snap-on belt buckle.
The motorised fan is run by a rechargeable battery.

They can only be used in sufficiently ventilated premises where the atmosphere contains a minimum oxyge concentration of 17%.
